Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance range earned her popular acclaim across many genres from period drama to thriller and action adventure. Johansson, the daughter of a renowned architect, as well as producer, was born in New York City. The twin brothers Hunter and her were among the youngest of siblings. At the age of seven years old, her passion for acting had increased. She began to audition for commercials. After that, she was enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and afterwards took classes at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. As a child she appeared in Sophistry together with Ethan Hawke and made her film debut in Rob Reiner's North at the time of 1994. Johansson was later seen as a character in Just Cause (1995) but her first breakthrough came with Manny & Lo (1996) an upcoming film that follows abandoned sisters who escape. The film received critical acclaim for her role as a teenage girl who suffered a disfiguring accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention as cynical teen outcast Rebecca In Ghost World (2001). While she was still a young child Smith began to take an interest in the field of acting. Smith was offered the first of many acting roles in the age of six. She was in a Dannon yogurt TV commercial. Like most actresses beginning to get their feet wet, she would work on her abilities in the theatre. While she made her on-stage debut with Wildflower she was also working with various theatre projects in the USA.
