She was born in Santa Monica, California on 26 November, 1986. Her father Vincenzo Barba is the mother of Valerie Barba. Her family relocated from Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was 6 years old. After moving to New Jersey, she finished her studies through Red Bank Catholic High School. After graduating from Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture, she continued her studies at the university. Additionally, she began playing the violin from the age of four and was referred to as Violin Girl. Due to her musical performance, she was referred to as Violin Girl. She also taught violin to children in the area. At the age of nineteen she auditioned for the sixth season of American Idol and sang the 1976 single Free.
