Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised in Queens, Forest Hills. She grew up there. She moved to Dix Hills Long Island before the conclusion of her junior year. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother as well as Evan. Modeling was her first job in the industry. She did it from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are among those actors who've received this type of training. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate away from Los Angeles. She was cast as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she did almost every stunt by herself. She also established her skills as an actress. As well as Matt LeBlanc's talent agency the agent of hers was involved in a range of regular roles on Friends.
